Nice Pub style restaurant in New York City near Times Square?
My department always does a trip to New York to see the tree around Christmas time. I am looking for a nice pub style restaurant that we can go to. We usually have about 15+ people attend. We are looking for a good selection of food, beer, and wine to select from. We like the more relaxed atmosphere of a pub, but good food, we can get a little load.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Times Square is full of chain restaurants that are usually really busy, especially around holidays. If you’re looking for a spacious restaurant with good food and an excellent selection of drinks and you don’t mind doing a little bit of traveling out of the Midtown area (Manhattan is pretty small, anyway), try Telephone Bar & Grill in the East Village. It’s a British-style pub with loads of room, awesome appetizers and really well-priced beverages. It’s on 2nd Avenue between 9th and 10th I think.
