What’s the best way to become a pub landlord? UK?
My husband and I want to get a pub, we have all qualifications and a personal alcohol licence but we are confused with all the words!!! lol
lease, lease hold, tenancy, nil premium tenancy, free of tie, freehouse, freehold, fully repairable tenancy….it gets very complicated.
We can’t afford to buy a pub but some pub companies want rent + 50% proffits + they expect u you to pay for repairs.
What’s the best way to do it to make the most money…which pub companies are the best or is it best to go through a brewery?

If you go through the brewery you are tied to that breweries products. If you don’t want to be tied to a brewery its better to go freehold.I hope this has been of use to you and your husband good luck
