If pubs are closing in the UK, will crime go down?
When they took all the people’s guns away, did that cause crime to go down? What makes you think taking beer away in public places will do anything?
Bottom line: The world is a cruel place. Evil people looking to do evil personal things will always exist. You must accept this fact and prepare yourself in the event you run into one, not give up all your rights and privileges because of one degenerate. You cannot prevent crime by merely taking things away from the general population.
