Traditional Irish Pubs near Carrickfergus?
I stay in Ireland in Carrickfergus which is about 25 minutes from Belfast. Does anyone know any Irish pubs traditional Irish music either in or near Carrickfergus. There are no targets in Belfast, that looks good on the Internet, like any other state?
Carrick is not a very big city. There are pubs but I do not think it is well known for its traditional. In fact, the only one I visited is the central bar which is Wetherspoons. The key I can think of Belfast is the Crown (but you can bet it will be full of tourists), La Posada Botanical (affectionately known as the Bot) and right across the road from it, Fr eg. Lavery can be fun, especially because it ended the pool hall on the second floor. But my favorite has to be Auntie Annie where There is good music and a great mix of people.
