Does anyone know where to go to dance to Oldies (’50′s, 60′s 70′s) music in NYC?
Does anyone know where to go to dance to Oldies (’50′s, 60′s 70′s) music in NYC. I’m in my late 20′s and want to dance to go out dancing to music that I don’t usually go out and dance to. I have been to swing dancing clubs and now I want to find some place that plays dance music that you would hear on the oldies station. I live in NYC…any ideas?? Thank!!!
There are two places that I know of.
First, Beauty Bar on E. 14th has DJs in the back that play rock from the 50s through the 80s on weekends.
Second, Artland Bar in East Williamsburg plays 50s rock and roll on Mondays, and I think Wednesdays, too.
Lots of dancing at both places. Mixed crowds, both are quasi-hipster (Artland more so).
