How do I make a name for myself in stand-up comedy?
I’m an aspiring stand-up comic in my early twenties. I only started performing last month at comedy clubs in downtown Toronto. At the moment stand-up is just a hobby but if I continue to get good feedback I might start taking it more seriuously. How do I go about making a name for myself on the comedy circuit. Do I attend the same club and keep coming back with different material or should a frequent many clubs with the same material? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
I would go for the same club with different material, because if you’re that good, people will come to that club just to see you, good for you, good for the club.
