pole dance clubs london
I am a pole-dancer. Job problems, HELP!!!?

Hi everyone I work at a pole-dancing club in london, recently the club has been taken over and this means for us a uniform change.

we are now being told we HAVE to wear 8″ heels, and PVC thong and bra for every shift and their are rumors they will be padlocked to our ankles for the 6 hour shift so we cant take them off!!! this is no joke- i have actually seen one of the girls having this done to them as they were being made-up!

Also, we are getting plastered in make-up, I only want to wear a little but we are starting to look like clowns with the amount of blue eyeshadow they put on us!

I love my job and dancing and don’t want to leave but am just a bit unhappy.

ive only eva worn 4 inch before so can any girls tell me is it hard 2 walk in 8″?

they have ordered these for us

Life is too short to deal with a crappy employer.

We have a friend who is retired now, but she danced for years and years. She was really good with the pole, and she told me that when she was working, from time to time she’d run into managers who had wacky ideas, and she’d just leave and go elsewhere.

If you really enjoy dancing, then start looking for another club. Who knows? You may find one where the shoe requirements aren’t just silly (those look like a broken ankle just waiting to happen), and where the tipping is better.

Cut and run!

Good luck.

**EDIT**
Please ignore the person who said you should get a respectable job. He obviously doesn’t know anyone who dances. Dancing doesn’t make you a bad person–please remember that.
