Visit Croatia
There are many different towns and cities in Croatia that will take your fancy, so why not try travelling to this beautiful country this summer?
Proclaimed by Lord Byron as ‘the pearl of the Adriatic’, Dubrovnik is splendid. The curtain of walls that surround the city protected it in ancient times from invasion, and nowadays it shelters the windy streets and beautiful buildings of the city. Historically, Dubrovnik was Venice’s biggest rival, and in more recent history, it was deliberately razed to the ground by th Yugoslav army. Substantial international aid was given, and the city restored, but it is noticeable where the city is old and new.
Zagreb, often overlooked by people wishing to lie on the beach, is a fantastic destination rich in culture. It’s also great for the outdoor types; Maksimir Park is a mecca for cyclists, walkers and runners, plus people wanting a bit of al fresco solitude. The botanical gardens also give you a refreshing wander, housing over ten thousand species of plants and giving you a quiet respite in the bustle of the town. Visit the up and coming ‘Brazil’ to experience a great night. The bar sits on a boat and plays Latin American style music to its plethora of visitors. Alternatively you could try the coolest club in town, Kset, offering anything from cutting edge djs to slick jazz music. This is fast becoming the weapon of choice for the young and trendy in the city.
Croatia is fast becoming an up and coming tourist destination, as people recognise the beautiful beaches and tranquil waters. Be there before the masses; grab your passport, travel insurance, and visit this summer.
So if Croatia is appealing to you for your holiday this year, what are you waiting for? Grab your passport and Travel Insurance and get on that plane!!
