night clubs in vegas
What are the best Vegas night clubs?

I am trying to find three awesome night clubs to hit up while in vegas or memorial day weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions of clubs that can not be missed? I also wouldn’t mind recommendations to stay away from whichever clubs.

No $15 pass is going to get you to the head of a line AND take care of your cover charge, especially on Memorial Day weekend. As a matter of fact, all clubs have it in their fine print that any passes or packages you buy (such as from Vegas Passport — a great deal for a non-holiday weekend) that passes do not apply during holidays and special events.

The best club in town by far is Tao at the Venetian. If you like hip-hop, the only club that plays it exclusively is Poetry at the Forum Shops. The best ultralounge is Tabu at MGM Grand — you don’t want to miss their interactive tables. Another great one you want to hit is CatHouse at the Luxor, modeled after an 18th century brothel with gorgeous go-go dancers in lingerie (one of them was just named one of the city’s most beautiful people).

For Memorial Day weekend in particular, Tiesto is playing The Bank at Bellagio and Jet at The Mirage and the Palms has a simply sick lineup. Also, Crystal Method is playing the House of Blues.

Clubs you want to stay away from are Christian Audigier (badly managed and over-priced), LAX (over-hyped), Risque at Paris (just don’t go), and ND’s The Club and Voodoo, both at the Rio.

One of the posters points to Jack Colton’s site. Jack knows the clubs inside and out … but he’s busy doing other things these days and doesn’t really update his site that often.
