Travelling to Costa Rica?
I live in El Salvador. Next month my friend and I are taking a bus to San Jose, Costa Rica. We are staying there for 2 nights. I have never been to Costa Rica and am wondering what we should do while we are there. Should we stay in the city, or stay in a hotel on the beach? Where are some good places to stay that are relatively close to the city and not too expensive, $70 a night or less.
What are some good places to go while we are there? Restaurants, attractions, clubs?
How far is San Jose from the beach? How much would a cab cost to get there? bus?
I speak fluent spanish so I do not need to stay somewhere/only do things where people speak English.
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide me.
San Jose is in the Central Vally so it’s not near a beach – although that’s relative in Costa Rica is the ocean is never far. It’s the capital so there are lots of choices for hotels and restaurants. Do some research on the internet and I’m sure you’ll find what you want.
There are bus services that go from San Jose to places on the coast. Cabs are relatively cheap but make sure you don’t get charged too much. If you are Spanish speaking, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Enjoy Costa Rica, it’s a beautiful place with lots to see.
