I’m going to Baltimore, MD this weekend. Any advice?
1. What parts am I supposed to avoid? I hear Baltimore has a lot of problem areas.
2. What places are safe at night?
3. Has anybody ever been to Sonar? I’ve never heard of that club. Is it good?

I have been to Sonar a while back (before I turned 21) — it had nice 80′s music, not bad at all. Crappy compared to the D.C. clubs though.
The inner harbor area is safe at night, as is Fells Point and Federal Hill (both of those have nice bars and are really fun)
Always be careful though and avoid sticky situations.
Avoid most everything besides the above areas!!! Mt. Vernon is okay, but the only attractions there are completely gay/partially gay bars and a large russian restaurant, so I would avoid it unless you are going for one of those attractions.
Be sure to check out Fort McHenry / Visionary Art Museum. Those are pretty cool places that most people forget to see.
