Does anyone know of a GREAT Karaoke Bar in NYC?
Help! I am going out next weekend to celebrate my 25th Birthday and I want to go to a karaoke bar in New York City. I thought it would be something fun and different to do! Can someone recommend a fun place? Preferably someplace w/a private room. HELP!!
Similar to Jessica’s suggestion, there is also another live band Karaoke night at O’Flanagans on the east side (1st Avenue between 66th and 65th). The band is called Human Karaoke Experience and they’re there every other Thursday. There’s no cover to get in and no minimum. They’ve been playing there for a few years and they have a huge following.
If you can’t make it on one of their nights…or you just want more after they’re done…Iggy’s farther uptown on 2nd Avenue has Karaoke every night all night.
Farther downtown is Nevada Smith’s where you can potentially do some celebrity peeping while sining Karaoke on Thursdays. The last time I went, Jerry O’Connell and Horatio Sanz from Saturday Night Live were there
