irish pubs texas
Is it Folklore or superstition that when riding round the ring of Kerry you must stop for a pint at every pub?

There was only three of us and the driver’s wife had a wonderful meal at that B&B, but she did get a bit off on Micheal as he let me pay for the pints clean around for the luck of it. The Irish steaks I bought on the way to the house were almost as good as texas beef. She wouldn’t make any boiled cabbage though.
I forgot to say the horse got a pint at the first and last . Someone explianed why, but my brain overruneth with Guiness stout. Now, why just first and last?
This was too hard to do a best without help. So, I rolled the wheel on my mouse with my eyes closed and counted 13.

it’s probably safer when you do it with your horse wain and not in a car. the horse knows his way and even knows what pubs to stop at. if you’re driving… it be not luck.
edit
in this case it’s hard to know if it’s folklore or superstition, sometimes it’s hard to tell them apart.
the main thing is that the horse had fun, you had fun, and the pub owners on the route shared the bounty of the new year.
