irish pubs nice france
Any nice quiet beaches in europe to holiday at? (thinking france,spain,italy..)?

we’re looking for a relaxing weekend break. If we go to a city then we just end up exploring, so we’d like to go somewhere that has nice beaches, but not to one of those typical overpopulated resorts full of english/irish people with english pubs and restaurants..we want to feel like we’re on holiday.
Anyone have any ideas?

You could go to the Northern coast of Spain, or the Southern Atlantic – Costa de la Luz. Much less populated, or at least populate by natives, not so many tourists.

I agree, if you go to a foreign country, and wind up in a colony of people from your own country, it’s not much like a vacation, is it?

Also, there are a couple of spots on the Mediterranean that are almost completely undeveloped. There’s one spot that is national park preserve. I think it’s North of Valencia, but I’m
not sure exactly. (and I’m not thinking of DoƱana in the south.)

*edit* Here it is: it’s called Cabo de Gata National Park

and this is the show I heard about it from:
