improv comedy club jobs
I want to start acting at my school?

I want to start acting at my school. I’ve seen every performance this year, inclduing the improv comedies and musicals. I even attended some shows from the performing art school students. The group of kids in the improv/drama club at my school is just a wonderful group; everyone is so polite and chill and close. I’d love to be part of that community. I aslo know that I definitly could act, the problem is, I feel as though I’d only do a good job once I get to know everyone. If I tried out I’d feel silly and do poorly, I’ll bet. However, if I was super friendly with the group already (like, as if I was in a past performance with them) I feel like auditions would be wonderful because I’m more incliend to act and be hilarious while improvising if I know the people. I really want to get into acting…I know I could be good. I’m just nervous for that first audition.

When you get out into the real world, you’re going to be auditioning for, and working with, lots of strangers. You won’t always have the chance to get to know people in advance. So why not take this opportunity to face the fear? You might not be brilliant your first time, but auditioning is a skill in itself, which takes work! Break a leg.
