What club would you suggest I go to in NYC- Cielo or Pacha and why?
My boyfiend and I are visiting NYC and I want to go to a real club!! We live in Park City UT, and I love house music, so my options are slim to none at home! I was told that either club would be good, but I don’t know which one to go to, since I know nothing about them except what is on their websites. If anyone has been to them, and feels that one is far superior to the other- please tell me! All I want to do is go to a cool spot that isn’t going to be super uppity and dance my butt off all night. (and if anyone has wardrobe suggestions, please let me know! I live in Utah for crying out loud!)

I have been to Pacha . . . it was quite a party! There were lots of different kinds of people there – from guys completely dressed in glow sticks to people in jeans & t-shirts, just having fun. I saw things in that club that made me wonder what planet I was on! Great visuals, dancers, and an AMAZING sound system. You mentioned that you like house music – Jonathan Peters is a resident DJ at Pacha & sometimes does marathon sets – like 24 hours at a time! Check out:

Depending on when you’ll be there, you might catch a well-known dj. I also went to crobar in NYC – but I don’t think it’s still open . . . ? Didn’t check out Cielo, but heard it’s good, too. I guess if I were you, I would pick the club that had the dj that I wanted to see. But one of the other answers here is exactly right – go to both!
