celebrity night clubs los angeles
What’s it like to live in Los Angeles, CA? I have always wanted to live in LA or near the Sunset Strip and .

all the different clubs and people. I had always dreamed of getting a job as a celebrity assistant, PR assist, or even as a maid. However, now I’m disabled and cannot work. I’m also married, and my husband would never move to LA. If I ever divorced, I would still love to move; however, I get $956 a month disability. Is there decent and safe housing for a person with a non-terminal disability? Is it safe in Hollywood to be out at night alone? Can you get into some of the clubs if your single? I’m neither beautiful or rich so would I even have a chance to be admitted to any of the clubs the celebrities go to? Also, how does somebody who is nobody get tickets to attend movie premiers which includes actually watching the movie with the celebrities that starred in it? I know nothing as you can all tell about how Hollywood is, just what I see on E-TV. Also, how do you get to be an extra in a movie? Does it pay much? If you are an extra at least once, can you get a SAG Card?

Hollywood isn’t all that glamorous as you may think.. I moved to L.A. from Texas ( for NON-ACTING reasons ) and it was a bit disapointing.. However, I do LOVE L.A. but for my own different reasons.. I love the diversity, I love its size, the urban life, the closeness of everything, and a good bus system… I grew up in the suburbs and I hated it.

Yes you can easily find extra roles.. But don’t expect anythng great to happen.. It takes years for people to make it as actors.. and most DON’T..

Be prepared.. Los Angeles is EXPENSIVE.. be prepared to pay $1000 for a studio apartment.. In some areas anyway.. You can find cheaper, but not in Hollywood. Up in the valley you can find a 1 bedroom for maybe $700.. Look on Craigslist.org for both apartments and jobs.

For the most part, Hollywood is safe.. It has good shopping.. But if you expect to see celebrities everywhere and want it to be like the movies, you’ll be disapointed.

That said – L.A. can be a great place for the right person.
