what are some good pubs/bars in Melbourne?
Ones that play good music to dance to, and attract people in their early 20s. Looking for somewhere to go to tonight.
we tried brunswick st once, but everyone was 30+ and they looked at us like we shouldn’t have been there lol.

When I was in my early 20s, the clubs I most enjoyed were the gay clubs in Commercial Rd, particularly The Market, because they had great music, ambience and sound quality, and as a female I felt “safe” from being sleazed on. Other than that, if you don’t like Brunswick Street, then sorry I can’t help much.
By the way, Dizzy’s in Richmond closed down quite some time ago (unfortunately)….. has it re-opened in Burnley….?
Anyway, Manchester Lane in the city is quite similar. Of course, there’s also Bennetts Lane, but that’s a dedicated jazz venue and you can’t talk or dance while music is being performed.
