Which area in Seattle is best for a young professional to live in with night life?
I plan on moving to seattle and want to live in an area that has great night life, Bars, Pubs, Clubs, and great places to eat. I don’t need to live in the middle of downtown however, if I could reach a central area with a 5 to 10 minuet cab ride that would be great. I was thinking Belltown, lower queen anne? Cheers
Belltown and Lower QA are good but expensive choices. Also think about Capitol Hill in the higher price range. A little further out is the U District with lots of student oriented stuff, as well as Fremont, Wallingford and Ballard. The last two are less expensive than areas closer to downtown but have some good restaurants and night life and are an easy bus/cab ride to downtown. West Seattle has ok night life but it is a long way out. Anything east of the Lake (Bellevue, Kirkland, etc.) are a long ride to downtown and are really suburban.
